​When engineer Engelbert Korrodi designed the first portable vacuum cleaner for Vorwerk, he was looking for a name that evoked exactly this figure:

  • Small and handy: Just like the spirit of the legend.
  • Tireless: Capable of “magic” against the most stubborn dirt.
  • A house keeper: A silent companion who takes care of the environment we live in.

Like this, the first model (il “Model 30”) it wasn't just a vacuum cleaner, but the first real one “elf” of the cleanliness that entered the homes of millions of people, revolutionizing the concept of domestic hygiene forever.

Curiosity: In Italy, the name has become so iconic that it has transformed over time, being affectionately called simply by everyone “The Folletto”. A name that today is synonymous with a promise: that of making cleaning not only effective, but magical.
